Shojo Beat

Shojo Beat
Shojo Beat

Do people that draw comic books such as Shojo Beat win a lot of money?

And if they do how should I start ,(I know I start off by drawing)but how should I start, who do I show my drawings to if I want to do this or draw an anime cartoon?

Win or earn?

Most comic book drawers do not earn a living just drawing comic books; most comic book artists have another job to support themselves while doing comic book drawing on the side to catch a big break. It's extremely difficult to become famous and earn a lot from anime drawings and comic books, so you have to be extremely good and better/different than others. Others just do it as a hobby, and sometimes they are able to publish their comics but are sold for very cheap prices (which isn't necessarily a bad thing because if it is really good, prices can increase).

If you want to start, look up some Anime tutorials online (there's a good one named Anime University that has great tutorials), and just practice a lot everyday. Once you are able to sketch these, learn how to use Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator because many artists use these programs to color their characters in rather than using color pencil or markers (although markers are still a popular way of coloring). Good luck.
