Don't tell me it looks better cause its modern, be realistic. I say bring the retro back!
1 thing I do not like about the old jersey is the script of Blue Jays and the number. I dislike the double lines. Change that and count me in. The logo is a great, classic logo that would be a much better fit for the team.
A script they can use is the one they used after that until 2003. Mix that with the older logo, and we have a masterpiece.

- The logo design professionals are increasingly opting for trendy and stylish fonts for designing business logos in recent times. Some designers are opting for font types which have a kind of juicy fluidity. Using fonts in slopes and particular angles also give a logo a distinct look. Some designers are also experimenting with crating an illusion of 3D depth in Logos that are really eye catching. While selecting the font, a designer should not compromise on legibility. He should also ensure that the font remains legible when the logo is maximized or minimized for various types of publication needs.
- Some logo designers are also leaning towards implementing vintage and retro style in their artwork. Using hues like grey and black, these designers are making logos that remind the viewers of the bygone past in several ways.
