Return on Investment Starts with the First Print Run after You Add the Servo 3000 Flexo Press Upgrade
The business savvy flexographic printer will expect to see a return on investment with any equipment expenditures. This may include spare parts or repairs and it may include the sort of upgrade possible with the cost effective Servo 3000 press add on. The first return on investment takes the shape of material savings. The second comes as a reduction in labor cost. The third is really several and is the larger quantity of better paying work that a standard flexo press can do with the benefit of the Servo 3000 Digital Infeed + Re-register™ system. There is a forth issue as well. The cost of adding a Servo 3000 to a standard press is a small fraction of the cost of a new five hundred thousand to million dollar servo press. There simply is a much lower investment to recoup.
Return on Investment with Reduced Material Waste
When a flexo press starts it needs to come into register. With a servo mechanism such as the Servo 3000 offers this happens in one length of the press. That is virtually never the case with a non-servo standard press. With the first print run a Servo 3000 add on starts paying for itself by reducing waste each time the press needs to be stopped and started again. Because the Servo 3000 follows the press it allows the press to run at full speed at 0.0025" resolution. Typically there are fewer reasons to stop the press for adjustments. Thus the Servo 3000 adds to return on investment, again, by reducing material waste. If the printer is running an expensive substrate this savings in material waste can add to return on investment in a hurry.
Reducing Labor Cost with the Servo 3000
Every time the operator stops the press it costs the printer money. Overhead continues and, commonly, the largest part is the salary of the operator. Because the Servo 3000 infeed system follows the press and because the system does an excellent job of keeping the job in register there are fewer stops to adjust the press and less labor cost per job.
Making a Flexo Press More Flexible
The precise web tension control of a flexo press with a Servo 3000 upgrade allows it to run a wider variety of substrates at full speed. This can mean more jobs. Work like finishing jobs from a digital label press extends the press capabilities as the Servo 3000 precisely re-registers the digital press run for lamination, die cutting, and matrix stripping. And, jobs like printing extended content labels are extremely difficult without a servo mechanism and become a printer's profit center when a press has a Servo 3000 upgrade.
Less Cost to Recover
The last matter is one of original cost. A Servo 3000 is simply a lot less expensive than a new high end press. Adding the Servo 3000 to an existing press lets it more types of work more efficiently. Thus the press has a rapid return on investment and a lot less investment to pay back before the improvements of a Servo 3000 show up as pure profit.

What would it run me to print 750,000 copies of a magazine?
I would go to a printing company in person. I have a very simple magazine. Front and back and inside are orange, black, and white only. 32 pages. Not too high or low quality, but pretty decent.
There are too many factors you haven't covered that come into play. There are many different grades of paper, how the magazine would be bound (stapled, glued, etc.), whether the magazine is camera ready (i.e. - ready to be printed), whether or not there are color and/or black and white photos, the size of the magazine (not pages, but dimensions), etc.
It's really best you call the company you are thinking of using and get a quote. In fact, it's probably best that you call several companies as there can be a significant difference in price.
I publish a small newspaper and found a company that is about 20 percent cheaper than the other two companies I contacted
