Peter Parker is living the good life.He is at the top of his class,he is dating Mary Jane Watson,and everyone loves Spider-Man.But all that crashes when Uncle Ben's killer is revealed to be Flint Marko.Flint is trying to evade the police when he is caught in a government test.His molecules are turned to sand and he quickly learns how to keep himself together.At the same time,an asteroid crashes to Earth and a strange alien substance finds its way to Peter.Then,a new villain attacks Peter on his way home.The villain is none other than Harry Osborn who wants to avenge his father's death.Peter knocks him unconscious but gives him amnesia.Spider--Man then rescues Gwen Stacy and finds out that the Daily Bugle has a new photographer,Eddie Brock.A staff job is open at the Daily Bugle and both Peter and Eddie want it.J. Jonah Jameson wants a picture of Spider-Man stealing.He says that whoever gets that photo gets the job.Peter knows that Jonah will never get that photo.Peter is looking at a screen showing Spider-Man when Stan Lee comes along and says,"Just one man can change the world.Nuff said."Peter learns that Spider-Man will get the key to the city.He receives it but then Sandman is seen.Spider-Man follows and finds out that he is no ordinary crook.Spider-Man loses him and uses his cop radio to try to locate his next robbery.He falls asleep and then the symbiote takes over him,making a black suit for him.Peter takes a sample of the suit to Doctor Conners and tells him to test it.Spider-Man then locates Sandman and confronts him.Spider-Man smashes Eddie Brock's camera and follows Sandman.Eddie then pulls out a digital camera and takes pictures of the bank.In the subway,Spider-Man reminds Sandman of Uncle Ben and they fight.Spider-Man hits Sandman with water,and Sandman turns to mud. Meanwhile,Eddie has gotten a photo of Spider-Man stealing,faking the photo.Peter has gotten proof that Eddie faked the photo and Eddie is fired.Harry has regained his memories of Peter being Spider-Man and attacks Mary Jane.Mary Jane breaks up with Peter and Peter attacks Harry.Harry is caught in an explosion and Peter realizes that the black suit is alive and is making him evil.He tears of the suit not knowing who it lands on,Eddie Brock. Someone is seen swinging thorough the city but is attacked by Sandman.Venom says that Spider-Man won't stand a chance against them.Peter then goes to ask Harry for help but Harry refuses.Spider-Man goes to save Mary Jane but is attacked by Venom,who is really Eddie Brock.All seems lost until the New Goblin comes and helps Spider-Man fight Sandman and rescue Mary Jane.Spider-Man separates the symbiote from Eddie and throws a goblin bomb at the symbiote.Eddie jumps into the symbiote and dies in the explosion.Harry has been pierced by his glider while Sandman tells Peter that Uncle Ben's death was an accident.Peter and Mary Jane begin to date again.
