The Fall Of The Roman Empire Was Caused By Mosquito and Malaria
The notable historian Edward Gibbon attributes the decline and fall of the Roman Empire to the "insidious effects of Christianity". Edward Gibbon thought Christianity is to be blamed for the decline and ultimate fall of the Roman Empire. He actually calls Christianity's role in the fall of Rome "the triumph of superstition". But it is interesting that the process Gibbon refer to, took four hundred years - considering that Christianity was born around 33 AD and Rome finally fell in 400 AD. This is a long period indeed to provide a mortal illness and collapse of Rome. By all means there should be other factors other than Christianity that caused the Roman Empire to fall.
Unlike Gibbon, most present day historians concentrate not on Christianity, but on social and economic factors and that is reasonable because those issues can be measured and traced for some extent. So let us look at some of these factors;
One of the most striking version of the fall of the Roman Empire focuses on all the fertile soil - upland farms - well drained and irrigated areas owned by landlords and being passed over to their offspring over generations. The poorer areas, especially the mash lands were left to the peasants. In these mashes the malaria and mosquito bred. The disease and the poverty that resulted from these breeding drove the victims into the cities where they spread the infections and perhaps that contributed to the fact that most Roman politicians if you look at their statues closely they were of a feverish kind.
So according to this theory, malaria joined perhaps by smallpox or some other plaque moved outward to the frontiers of the empire decimating the garrisons, depopulating the towns - and eventually leading to the final breakthrough of the barbarians. If this theory is true, then the Roman Empire was actually destroyed by mosquito.

The long awaited new game Age of Empires online will soon be upon us, developers started work on this game around mid 2009 and it has been open for beta testing for over 3 months now. I would think that these developers will be able to keep to their schedule to avoid disappointment and release the game to the world on the 2011 stated deadline for release. I would think in fact the developers handling the Age of Empires online game will give it an early release and surprise the fans.
Age of Empires online will offer players the chance to gain much needed weapon upgrades designed to tip the balance of an unfair battle. To get these upgrades players will need to complete a series of quests, exploring the map areas will also reveal gifts and benefits to your empire. So far age of empires online has 4 main and major weapon upgrades which can be earned and applied to gain the advantage.
The age of empires online weapon upgrades does not quite do it for me, I mean come on only four. I can imagine that once the game is released they will be adding more and quite likely at a cost. I am well ok with developers using this kind of tactic to make money, after all the game will be completely free to play always.
Players will not want to go to battle without the Gut Ripper upgrade, once gained and used in battle will apply a number of advantages. Units chopping and slashing with this added upgrade will do more damage to their would be assailant and should they find their legs go a bit chicken and star to run, the gut ripper adds a snare into the attack which will slow your victim down making them easy picking.
Spearmen play an important part of any battle, those players already used to this kind of strategy game know they can tip the balance of the battle to winning as they keep the invading force at bay while they are picked off by archers. The Black Enamelled Heavy Spear will make your spearmen much stronger passing over upgraded abilities to snare and critical strike. It will also provide the spearmen in age of empires online a large increase to attack damage.
Although very primitive the battering rams should be feared by a defending army, used correctly and in the right numbers will crush their enemies towns in minutes. Before the Krakens Fist becomes available to players in age of empires online they must have earned it and have the skill and experience before they get the chance to apply this awesome upgrade. The Krakens fist gives advantages to speed and attack damage as if they need it.
So you want an unfair advantage in age of empires online then you are going to need the Gods approval. The Hero's Bow of Apollo provides a good amount of bonus damage that your units are able to inflict to the enemy it will also upgrade their critical strike abilities.
There are quite a few enhancements in age of empires online making it very different from the previous versions, without finding or earning these upgrades you will leave your empire open for ruins. These enhancements and upgrades will give you the advantage helping you to move forward in the game and conquer your enemies and you allies.
