Great Cover Ideas For Effective Poster Advertising

Are you looking for great cover ideals for poster printing? Then you have come to the right place. As you may undoubtedly know, there are plenty of ways to design covers for print posters.

However, only a select amount can really engage readers and make them react to the poster printing. In this guide, I will show you these effective cover ideas. In addition, why they can work for you to improve your color poster's performance.

1. Funny images – Everybody likes to laugh. Any kind of funny image, from a wacky face, smiling people, laughing kids and a practical joke is very eye catching to people. Placing these amusing situations on a cover is a great strategy since people like seeing something fun. It is just natural to try to find happiness right? Therefore, whatever your theme may be, if you can find a reason to place something funny, you should consider integrating it.

2. Animals and other cute, cuddly things – Everybody also loves looking at cute things. Whether you are a guy or a girl, a young scout or an old campaigner, you will have that soft spot for something cute. That is why you can also use cute animals and even other cuddly subjects like babies.

Everyone responds to cute things in their own way, but in most cases, people will stare at the cute image for at least a minute. That is why this is good for color posters since you can use that cuteness factor to deliver your message. You just need the right cute picture for your subject.

3. A person that makes eye contact – Another great cover strategy is to use images of people that make eye contact. When your poster models make eye contact to readers, a natural unconscious connection is established. People look at people that are staring at them just to judge and see why.

When the thing staring at them is a poster, they will have the tendency to glance at it and see what it is about. It is subtle but the design technique is very powerful. Your posters will benefit a lot from this reaction.

4. Straight to the point text content – Sometimes it also pays to just go straight to the point. One of the best and most effective cover strategies is to just print the message directly without too many embellishments. If you are having a sale then print large poster printing that says "SALE!" If you want people to know that your product is the best in its line, and then just print, "Know why X product is the best for you".

This direct approach does work since it is no nonsense advertising that people easily can digest. Just put this in places where lots of people pass by.

Therefore, those are the best cover ideas you can use for your color posters. There are plenty of other great cover ideas out there, but these are the most effective and common that people can easily adopt for their poster printing. Use them well.

Why do they always switch the names of the actors/actresses on the DVD cover or poster?

I've seen it a hundred times: There are two main characters in a movie, and one of them is on the left side of the cover/poster, and the other one is on the other. Well, the easy option is that they put the names of them above the person or something, but nooooo. They switch it for no appearant reason at all. And it's been used so many times that it's not even funny anymore. I don't know why it bothers me, it's just a bit annoying.

It's when two actors or actresses of the same calibre are both main characters in a movie. And pathetic as it is, they position it like that so one doesn't feel 'more famous' than the other. Does that make sense? I'm not sure how well I'm explaining myself!

It started when they made the movie 'The Towering Inferno', Steve McQueen and Paul Newman were both equal 'stars' of the movie and (I think it was Paul Newman) one of them complained because the other guy was on the left-hand side of the poster AND his name was higher. Silly I know. But anyway, one person's picture is on the left-hand side and one person's name is on the left-hand side. They do it when there are two equal stars who are both main characters in the movie.

movie poster :) Steve McQueen is on the left but Paul Newman is higher...and his name is slightly higher too. I reckon it was him who caused the fuss! Haha.

A Guide for Efficient Poster Printing

It is an age-old question really. What is best to focus on? Quality or Quantity? In poster printing the same question is being debated by most as well.

Is it better to print posters with great quality to impress people? On the other hand, is it more practical to print a lot of lower quality posters to cover the most area and more people? Well the solution to this is not simple. When you print posters there are a lot of factors involved, including your goals, your preferences and of course your poster printing budget.

In this guide, we are going to give you a few key facts about quality posters versus quantity posters. Hopefully this should give you a nice and general idea of what you can do and how to make your decision.

• The up side of quality print posters – First, let us look at the good side of printing quality posters. With quality posters, your color designs should be very good. Expensive paper and color inks are usually used to get that professional and great looking finish that people are awed at. All of this translates into a better impression about the poster content.

Therefore, if you promote a movie or play for example, the more expensive looking the poster the more people will probably like it or at least want to watch it. People still judge by the eye today and you can really get a huge chunk of the market pie if you do print high quality color posters.

• The disadvantages of quality print posters – In printing lies the problem though in quality posters. Poster printing is not cheap. You will find that printing color posters with the best quality paper and impressive inks will run you a significant printing bill.

This means that in a fixed budget you will be able to print only smaller amounts of posters, when compared to cheaper poster printing. You will have to hope that you designs are good enough, and are high quality enough to get the results you want for the poster.

• The pros of printing large amounts of cheap posters – Now, for quantity. Printing a lot of posters means having the ability to cover a lot of areas. You usually will have enough pieces of poster to reach every public place that you need to, plus some of the odd locations if need be. In addition, with all those extra posters, you can post several posters at the same location several times to just hem in your message. Your posters might not look the best, but more or less people will get the message since they will find them everywhere.

• The cons of cheap poster? distribution – The drawback though when printing cheaply is that there is a risk of the company itself looking cheap. Some public business reputations can really take a hit if people who see the poster are not impressed with the message. They can accidentally relate cheapness with the movie, play or firm that it represents, and that is very bad to business indeed.

All in all, your solution should be about your needs. If you want to impress people, quality color posters are the best. If you want to get as many people as you need, then printing cheaper but more numerous posters should be the way to go. It all depends on you so just try to experiment.
