Warner Bros.: Justice League Gets Ready; New Batman to Be Continued

Recently, it is reported that Jeff Robinov, the president of Warner Bros. said that the scripts for the two superhero-based films The Flash and Wonder Woman are both being written at the moment. Also Warner Bros. has intention of starting the work on the film Justice League, which is expected to be shown in 2013.

Alan Horn, the ex-president and CEO of Warner Bros. for the last 12 years just retried this week and Jeff Robinov succeeds him as the new president. As people say, a new broom sweeps clean. In an interview with some media, Robinov said Warner Bros. will further enhance the cooperation with DC Comics by producing a number of films adapted from DC's comics such as Green Lantern, Superman, etc. so as to fill the blockbuster void after the end of the show of Harry Potter. On the other hand, Robinov revealed that the scripts of Flash and Wonder Woman are both being written now meanwhile the shooting work on Justice League has been rebooted as well. It is no doubt that such movements done by Warner Bros. are more or less influenced by Disney and Marvel Comics, as Disney just purchased Marvel Comics and pays great effort to launched the project on The Avengers, also Disney has obtained great box-office returns from their relevant films released in recent two years.

The main characters in Justice League are commonly referred to as the "Big Seven", including superman, Martian Manhunter, Flash, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan). Except for the slightly less popular Aquaman and Martian Manhunter, all other superheroes are undoubtedly the flagship roles of DC Comics. If Warner Bros. wants to shoot Justice League, they have to make a series of spin-off films for each of the main characters in Justice League at first. According to the current arrangements, Green Lantern will be released this year and the draft on roles of Superman: Man of Steel is basically completed, also the script creations for Wonder Woman as well as The Flash have both begun. Now the only pending thing would be the next movie for Batman.

Christopher Nolan: Become a producer for his Batman film series.

The Batman film series directed by famous Englishman Christopher Nolan have achieved a huge success in recent years. Nonetheless, Nolan has revealed that The Dark Knight Rises in process of shooting will be the third and last instalment of his Batman series. Therefore the plot and the candidates for the director and cast will all get unknown for the series after his leave. Regarding this situation, Robinov indicated that the reboot of Batman film is always a must and Nolan would still serve as a producer for the series although he would not direct any more after The Dark Knight Rises. "We have the third Batman, but then we'll have to reinvent Batman," said Robinov. "Chris Nolan and Emma Thomas (Nolan's producing partner and wife) will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is."

Is there a reason why Superman, Batman (as well as all the earlier Robins), and Wonder Woman have black hair?

Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne, Diana, they all are portrayed with black hair in the comics. Not to mention, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake as well.

Is there a DC comic fetish with black hair?

If you'll take a close look, you'll find that the characters you mentioned actually have dark blue hair. Marvel also has a number of characters with dark blue hair. Talk about strange fetishes. When comics were young, they had a rather limited pallet and the only two colors that looked relatively natural for hair colors were dark blue (which can pass for black) and yellow (which can pass for blond). Since a greater percentage of the population has dark hair, more characters were given dark blue hair than yellow hair. Once conventions are established they tend to remain unchanged, so even characters created in the eighties and nineties (like Todd and Drake) wound up with dark blue hair.

An Animated Wonder

Watching animated movies have always been a fascinating experience as it gives its viewers something different to watch from real life and expanding our creative side. Animation gives its viewers a lot of forms of movies from funny movies like "UP" and "Shrek" or a sci fi movie like "Halo Legends". Apart from these there are also movies based on superheros like Batman, Superman etc. which has become an extraordinary category in animation as it presents different superheroes from comic books which are always fun to watch. One of this kind of movie which has recently came is "Batman Under The Red Hood". In my opinion this is the best animated movie of batman as it tells us the story of batman after the death of his partner Robin. In this movie Batman faces his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. Red Hood is one part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. Killing is an option. The story turns when joker falls in balance between the two because from there hard truths are revealed as batman know that the Red Hood is really Robin and it is because of him that he is now Red Hood. An interesting fact about this movie is that the movie is much better then the book it is based on and secondly the villains made in this movie have great personality so for that reason I would indeed say that it is an animated wonder.
