Top 10 Anniversary Do’s and Don’ts
Your anniversary day should be the highlight and most unforgettable event of the year as it pertains to your relationship. No questions asked. Sometimes we take things for granted as we go through our life’s journey, and even momentous occasions such as our anniversaries are not as highly regarded. If you aspire to maintain an enriching relationship with your man or woman, don’t make the mistake of making that important day a low priority. Your goal is to make each and every anniversary day an affair to remember.
To help you plan for that special day, here are some anniversary do’s and don’ts:
1. This is an exclusive event, the one moment which must include just the two of you. If you have children, you need to make daycare plans ahead of time. A backup babysitter would be beneficial in the event your original plan doesn’t pan out. Other housemates will need to make alternate plans and vacate the premises should you decide to celebrate at home.
2. Don’t wait until the eleventh hour to book your lunch or dinner reservations if the plan is to wine and dine at your favorite café or fancy restaurant. It’s advisable to make reservations in advance to avoid any last-minute snafus. Otherwise, you may end up in the midst of an unnecessary argument.
3. If you live in an area where traffic is an issue, allow yourselves plenty of time to get to your place of destination. You want to make this moment as pleasant and stress-free as possible.
4. Don’t pick a fight. If you need to address any concerns which could potentially lead to a disagreement, wait after your anniversary celebration. There is a different place and time for such discussions; definitely not during your anniversary. Ideally, your aim is to strive for a perfect day, evening, or weekend of fun and romance.
5. Look and feel your best. Remember, you are celebrating the anniversary of your first encounter, your first date, or wedding day, so dress to impress and leave all your worries behind for a joyful occasion.
6. Don’t talk about anything negative. Complaining about work drama, family squabbles, financial problems, and the like should be discussed at a different time. If you feel the need to state an opinion or bicker about something, save it for later. Instead, mention the positive things about your relationship and what’s keeping your love for each other stronger than ever.
7. Say “I love you” and compliment your partner on his/her appearance, accomplishments, successes, and everything you admire about that person. Express your love by enumerating all the wonderful qualities he/she possesses and the reasons why you love him/her. After all, it’s your anniversary and your partner should be treated like a king or queen even more so during this special occasion.
8. Don’t rehash bad memories. Alternatively, talk about the good old days. Stroll along memory lane… how you were spellbound when you first met, your many laughs together, your honeymoon, vacations, to name a few.
9. If your anniversary plans include a trip for two at an exotic location somewhere in the Caribbean, for example, make sure you organize it well in advance. Create a checklist of things to do for a smooth and hassle-free holiday.
10. Don’t forget to buy a gift that comes from the heart for that special someone.

How much do you think I can sell my Reader's Digest's First Issue on E-Bay?
It's a limited edition copy of the first issue in 1922 released in conjunction with Reader's Digest's 60th Anniversary Celebration in 1982.
Can you tell me your estimation for this magazine?
There was an recent auction on eBay for an ORIGINAL COPY of Readers Digest's February, 1922 First Issue. The auction started on Sep-04-06 and it ended: Sep-11-06. The winning bid was $26.00. I would suspect that a 1982 reprint would not be as valuable. I hope this helps.

Wedding Anniversary Invitations for Your Special Wedding Anniversary Party
Wedding Anniversary and Wedding Anniversary Invitations
The Wedding Anniversary can be one of the most important invites you send. After all, so many people end up getting a divorce in these modern times that staying married is definitely worth celebrating. Before you can send those cards, however, you're going to need to choose the perfect ones for your event. Below you'll find some tips for choosing the right Anniversary Invitations.
Wedding Party Invitations & Themes
When planning a party, it might be a good idea to choose a theme. For example, if a couple met in the 1970s, you might choose to focus the decorations and entertainment of the wedding Anniversary Party on that decade. You could even hire a couple of servers for the event and ask them to dress up in full seventies attire. Another idea is to find headlines from that decade then make decorative poster board displays containing the headlines and photos related to those headlines. You could also recap everything that has changed in the world since the couple met as part of the event's entertainment.
Now that you've decided on a theme you're going to carry that theme throughout the rest of party planning, including the wedding party invitation you decide to pick. For example, you don't want to send out very formal invitations if you're going to have servers wearing bell bottoms. Remember that your invitations are supposed to clue your guests in on what the event is going to be like. That's something you want to remember when picking your wedding anniversary party invitations. And be sure and take advantage of the unique Anniversary Invitations Wordings, Verses and Sayings many websites offer for their Anniversary Invitations.
Wedding Anniversary Invitation Factors
Besides the theme, you should also consider a few other factors. One of the biggest is going to be cost. You want to choose affordable cards that look good but don't cost a fortune. Throwing one of these parties can be expensive so you'll want to save money in anyway that you can. One way you can't save money is by substituting phone calls or emails for mailed Wedding Anniversary Invitations. Etiquette dictates that the invitations be mailed, usually two weeks in advance to give guests time to make arrangements and to RSVP if necessary. However, you can always follow up with guests a few days prior to the event with a phone call or email, especially if they have not responded to the mailed custom 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary Invitations.
Another important issue is whether or not you should extend the invitation to children or if you want to stick with only adults at the party. The choice is yours. The only etiquette rule to follow is that the party should either allow kids or not allow any kids. You don't want to pick and choose kids since this may hurt the feelings of some of the guests. When you send the invitation, address it only to the parents. Hopefully, they will get the message. Another concern is whether or not people who are invited can bring dates. Unless you specify "and date," most of your guests should realize they aren't allow to bring anyone else who is not specifically listed on the Silver 25th Wedding Anniversary.

[VHS]Peter Pan(Fully Restored 45th Anniversary Limited Edition) (Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection) [VHS] $5.95 Peter Pan has a special place in the realm of classic animated Disney films: it instills an element of childlike wonder. The 1953 version of James M. Barrie's story is colorfully told and keeps on the straight and narrow of the book. Barrie's wondrous focus on child's play is the key to its longevity: kids who don't grow up, shadows that run away from their owners, pirates, a fairy, and the magic... |
