What kind of spruce/pine tree turns golden/yellow color after fall?
There are these beautiful spruce trees, look like large christmas trees, that I have seen in Alaska and they are now a golden or yellow color. I have never seen a spruce this color before! They were not this color during the summer or early fall. They have recently turned this color. What kind of evergreen is this? Or is it even an evergreen? because they are not green anymore. But they look exactly like the green ones that are around them also, but gold.
Where in Alaska are you? In the interior, we have decidious conifers called tamaracks. Maybe those are it?
