Breakdown Cover – How To Get Value For Money
Nothing brings home to us the necessity of taking proper precautions to look after not just ourselves and our family, but our belongings and home, than the onset of winter. This would add the component to the cover that would allow you to call out the relevant service should you find that your vehicle doesn't start one morning. This would be more relevant if you lived in a rural area where it is more difficult to find a local garage for example.
Taking a look at some of the more common add-ons, if you travel long distances away from home, you may want to add `National Recovery` to your cover. This will mean that should you break down you can be towed to your local garage rather than the nearest to where you break down.
If you really need to be in places at certain times, you may want to consider taking `onward travel` cover. This means that if you break down and the vehicle can not be repaired in a reasonable time, you'll be offered a replacement car for up to three days, or overnight accommodation or onward travel by taxi, train or plane, depending upon the policy you have.
